4 reviews for DAVID over distortion

This pedal is special. I had to rearrange my way of thinking/setting my sound…i usually don’t use a amp with a clean setting, my basic “clean” sound is always a bit on the crunch side, the DAVID pedal works best ( for me ) with a clean setting, but clean is not the word to use here, because the DAVID pedal gives me such a “pissed off “ sound… it’s the answer i’ve been looking for for a long time, a distortion sound that has a bit of fuzz in it, with a lot of aggression mixed in. Backing off the volume on the guitar cleans up the sound ala fuzz, but yet it’s not a fuzz, it’s a distortion pedal that think it’s a fuzz!! I’ve never been able to use a real fuzz pedal, but i always missed that sound, for my Hendrix stuff, this pedal bridges the gap for me, in a spectacular sonic way.

I am not a fan of big distortion… especially when they are not produced from tubes amp/head .

I play through a Fender DeVille, Blues Junior, the Quilter 101 also and the David Works always meticulously.

As I played the first time the David I realized that It’s a great Distortion pedal, pretty dynamic and really versatile.

one of the best buy lately !

Versatile Wide Range. From a vintage Ibanez tube Screamer, To a 60s Overdriven Marshall. I tryed 15 different Distortion pedals at a boutique music store. And you can hear the difference of the quality of the David distortion. A must try before buying and regretting getting something with out hearing David. Its all about the sound.

Excellent pedal. Extremely versatile from dynamic crunch to wicked fuzz smashing the from end of your amp for a wicked Hendrix tone. Pedal of the year.
